What Is LMC Camera?

LMC Camera is not a separate company or brand of phone. It is the name the modder Hasli gives to his Google Camera mods. Each LMC release takes a Google Camera port as its base, then adds extra controls: shutter speed and ISO selection, lens choice, noise models, white balance models, LUTs and the "LMC Tweaks" menu. The goal is simple: let non-Pixel phones take photos with Google's HDR+ and Night Sight processing.

In Bangladesh many people search for "LMC camera" or "এলএমসি ক্যামেরা" when they mean LMC 8.4, because it was the first LMC version that became famous on Facebook and YouTube. If you are not sure which one you need, install LMC 8.4 R18 first.

Dates come from the developer's official download pages on celsoazevedo.com. Each series is a separate app, so configs from one series do not work in another.

Which LMC Camera Should You Download?

• Most phones and beginners: LMC 8.4 R18. It works on Android 10 and newer and has the biggest collection of ready-made configs.
• Android 12+ phones and people who like new tools: LMC 9.6, with swipe-down quick settings, profiles and a LUT creator.
• MediaTek phones: try LMC 8.3 R4FE, which added a "Sabre MTK" option for MediaTek devices.
• LUTs and watermark: LMC 8.8 R2.

Because every series uses a different package name, you can install two of them side by side and compare photos before you decide.

LMC Camera Packages Explained

Every LMC release comes in several APK files with different package names. The camera inside is the same. Some brands only give extra lenses to apps with certain names, so these copies borrow those names:

• Snapcam / QCamera3: Snapdragon phones such as OnePlus.
• Aweme: some Realme, Oppo and OnePlus phones.
• Scan3D, Ruler or Iris: Samsung Galaxy phones.
• Google Lens: if you want Lens inside the camera.
• Meitu, Fintech, Xiaomi (newer series): extra options for phones that block the others.

LMC Camera Config Folders

Configs are small XML files with settings tuned for one phone. Each series reads them from its own folder in the root of internal storage:

• LMC 8.4: /LMC8.4/
• LMC 8.3: /LMC8.3/
• LMC 8.8: /LMC8.8/
• LMC 9.6: /LMC9.6/

Put the XML file in the right folder, open the app, double-tap the black area next to the shutter button, choose the config and tap Restore. Full steps: LMC 8.4 config file guide.

How to Install LMC Camera APK

1. Check that your phone supports the Camera2 API (see our Camera2 API guide).
2. Download the default APK of the series you chose.
3. Allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps.
4. Open the APK and tap Install. If Play Protect warns you, tap More details → Install anyway.
5. Open the app, allow camera and storage permission, and load a config.

Is LMC Camera Safe?

Yes, when it comes from the official mirror. LMC Camera needs no root and asks only for normal camera permissions. Play Protect sometimes warns about GCam mods because they are built on older Google Camera code, not because they contain malware. Avoid files called "LMC Pro" or "LMC Premium" from unknown sites — every real LMC build is free.
