LMC 8.4 R15 was released on 30 November 2022. Its default package is com.google.android.GoogleCameraEngR15. R15 added Exynos support (verified on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, S21 Ultra and S10), per-module library selection, Live HDR for Samsung and seven package variants. It is a stable build, but R18 is newer.

What's New in LMC 8.4 R15

New features

Exynos support, verified on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, S21 Ultra and S10.
Library selection per module: each lens can now use its own processing library (except the front camera).
UX Mod and Sky Brightness added to the test patcher (credited to Rivov).
Night sky detection is on by default and also works in ZSL and HDR+ modes.
Edge Enhancement (Portrait) Front added to LMC Tweaks for sharper selfies.
New colour and AWB options: Pixel 3 AWB, Pixel 3 GRGB and a CG1 colour setting.
Subtle noise reduction presets for faster setup.
Live HDR and an iris switch button for Samsung phones.

Fixes

Spatial Gain Map and dynamic ISO selection in noise models were fixed.
Xiaomi 12T Pro fixed and Xiaomi 11 Ultra improved.
All patcher settings work on the front camera again.
HEVC video is off by default for better compatibility.

Configs from older 8.4 builds still work in R15, but each lens now has its own library choice, so check the library setting after loading an old config.

Why Some Users Still Choose R15

A large collection of configs was made for R15 (configs for Hasli's 8.4 R15 have their own page on the official mirror).
It has the qcamera3 and ruler packages, which are not in the R18 file list.
It is well tested on Samsung Exynos phones.

If you do not depend on an R15-only config or package, install LMC 8.4 R18 for the newest interface. The developer notes that R15 configs may also work on newer builds after testing.

How to Install LMC 8.4 R15

Download the R15 APK that matches your phone brand.
Enable "Install unknown apps" for your browser or file manager.
Install the APK and allow camera, microphone and storage permission.
Restore an R15 config from the /LMC8.4/ folder.
