What's New in LMC 8.4 R16
Added
- Choose how many frames to merge in ZSL and HDRNet, separately for each lens.
- Long tap with function selection in the viewfinder settings.
- Zoom value selection per button in system settings.
- Low/high viewfinder resolution switch and exposure slider toggle in LMC Tweaks.
- New subtle noise presets.
- A Julian T colour transformation button (replacing the frame-count button).
- An HDR effect item in the exposure compensation menu.
Fixed
- Merging across interfaces fixed, and the minimum merge threshold removed.
- Exposure slider fixed in HDRNet.
- Front camera fixed on some devices, including library loading.
Important Notes From the Developer
- The 28-frame limit is intentional, because most phones' memory buffers cannot handle more.
- Noise model, upscale, black level and Julian CT settings reset on old configs and must be set again.
- The code changes were large, so new problems may appear. The developer estimates that when something fails, the cause is the config about 90% of the time.

R16 has no plain default package. Snapdragon phones can start with Snapcam or QCamera, Samsung phones with Ruler or Scan3D, and Realme or Oppo phones with AWEME.
R16 vs R17 vs R18
R17 added highlight options, Radius Gain and Samsung Metering Mode; R18 added the full-height exposure slider, black theme and noise/AWB model loading.
