LMC 8.4 R18 APK

LMC8.4_R18F1.apk · ~135 MB · Android 10+
Released: 14 Jun 2023 · Developer: Hasli

Before You Start

  • Android 10 or newer. Open Settings → About phone → Android version.
  • Camera2 API support. Install "Camera2 API Probe" from the Play Store and check that your main camera shows FULL or LEVEL_3 (LIMITED may work with fewer features). See how to check Camera2 API.
  • About 150 MB of free space.
  • A stable internet connection so the APK downloads completely.

Step-by-Step: Install LMC 8.4 APK

  1. Check compatibility. Make sure your phone runs Android 10 or newer and supports the Camera2 API.
  2. Download the APK. Download the default LMC 8.4 R18 APK (LMC8.4_R18F1.apk).
  3. Allow unknown apps. When Android asks, open Settings and turn on Allow from this source for your browser or file manager.
  4. Install. Open the APK file and tap Install. If Play Protect warns you, tap More details and Install anyway.
  5. Grant permissions. Open LMC 8.4 and allow Camera, Microphone, Location (optional) and Photos and media.
  6. Test lenses and load a config. Switch between lenses, install the brand package if a lens is missing, then restore a config from the LMC8.4 folder.

How to Allow "Install Unknown Apps" on Each Brand

Since Android 8, you allow unknown apps for each app separately (for example Chrome or Files). If you do not see the pop-up, turn it on manually:

BrandSettings path
Samsung (One UI)Settings → Apps → ⋮ menu → Special access → Install unknown apps → Chrome / My Files → Allow
Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco (MIUI / HyperOS)Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Chrome → Install unknown apps → Allow
Realme, Oppo, OnePlus (ColorOS / OxygenOS)Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Chrome → Allow
Vivo (Funtouch / OriginOS)Settings → Security / Apps → Install unknown apps → Chrome → Allow
Tecno, Infinix, itel (HiOS / XOS)Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Chrome → Allow

Menu names change slightly between versions. If you cannot find it, search "unknown apps" in the Settings search bar.

Choose the Right Package

LMC 8.4 R18 has six packages. They differ only in package name, which decides whether your phone lets the app use extra lenses.

Because each package has a different name, you can install two or three of them side by side and keep the one that works best.

First Launch: Settings to Check

  1. Allow all permission pop-ups.
  2. Take a test photo in daylight with HDR+ Enhanced. If it crashes, switch to HDR+ (non-enhanced) in the viewfinder.
  3. Tap each lens button (0.5x, 1x, 2x). If a lens is missing, install the package for your brand.
  4. Load a config for your phone from the LMC 8.4 config file page.

Common Install Errors and Fixes

"App not installed"

  • The download is incomplete. Delete the file and download it again.
  • An older LMC build with the same package name but a different signature is installed. Uninstall it, then install again.
  • Not enough storage. Free at least 300 MB.

"Blocked by Play Protect"

Play Protect warns about many apps that are not from the Play Store. If you downloaded LMC 8.4 from the official mirror, tap More details → Install anyway.

"There was a problem parsing the package"

Your Android version is too old for this build, or the file is damaged. Check that you are on Android 10 or newer and download again.

App closes right after opening

Clear the app data (Settings → Apps → LMC 8.4 → Storage → Clear data) and open it again. If it still closes, your phone may not support the Camera2 API fully. See the LMC 8.4 not working guide.

How to Update or Uninstall LMC 8.4

To update from an older 8.4 build, install the new APK. If it has a different package name, both versions stay installed; uninstall the old one from Settings → Apps when you are happy with the new one. Your configs in the LMC8.4 folder are not deleted when you uninstall the app.
